About our Designs
Jen Stock Mindful Jewelry is carefully created with the intent to help remind the wearer of being mindful and seeing the good in themselves, in others and in life. Her designs are vegan, which means no silks, leather or pearls are used. Cruelty-Free. All jewelry is handmade by women in New York.
Jen's inspiration for her designs comes from her practice of yoga for more 30 years and the spiritual aspects it embodies. Beaded pieces are all assembled by hand using a French Knotting Technique with a knot in between each bead, giving the pieces more fluidity and producing a higher quality piece of jewelry. The beads are knotted tightly with a cotton/nylon and the “kinks” will loosen up as worn. Macrame' Jewelry is handmade using a special round design unique to Jen Stock Mindful Jewelry. With sustainability always in mind, pieces are produced to demand.
Our signature symbol: the OM is a symbol rich in meaning and depth that represents the divine in each of us, as well as our interconnectivity. Jen created an authentic graffiti-like design (inspired by tagging on the subway in the 1970's) of the OM symbol in her ©Goddess Collection to evoke a modern view of the symbol. A mini OM tag is also included in many of the designs as a "name tag!"
Many designs are based on the Mala, whether they are 108 beads (or simply a number divisible by 9) and always with the intention/mindset of prayer beads. The mala is an ancient, traditional wooden necklace made of 108 beads used to keep track of how many times a mantra or name of a deity is repeated while meditating. As the inspiration behind Jen's beaded pieces such as Ganesha Mala, which is 108 beads.
The Buddha is a symbol of what Buddhists believe is the "enlightened one," someone who can truly see how the world works.
The Soft Goods are all designed by Jen Stock in New York and crafted in Jaipur, India.
With these designs, Jen hopes to not only provide an authentic fashion staple, but a powerful spiritual influence as well.
Namaste.
